Canada Gets Video Ringtone Service

Canadian cellular users are set to get their own homegrown video ringtone service, courtesy of Bell Mobility. The new service plugs into the Warner Music Canada catalogue and will give compatible cell phone users access to a whole range of artists to personalise their cell phones. Read more...

Ringtones Getting Popular In Iraq

Great little article here looking at the growing popularity of cell phones amongst young Iraqis. There's a great rage for swapping tones and text messages, with humour and political satire being popular.

"Competing with Saddam for the most popular song in Iraq today is Iraqi pop star Hossam al-Rassam _ 'Ma, I've been stung by a scorpion.'"
